Thinking About Planning a Viral Video? Think Again.
You can’t make a video go viral. Period. No matter how hard you try. Because it’s not up to you—it’s up to the viewer. But according to a recent Fast Company article, you can create content that evokes strong emotions and compels the viewer to share it.
From inspiring or hilarious videos to heart-tugging ones that make your mom weep and roof leak, people share videos that move them.
Flood the video with emotion, not your brand. Placing your brand front and center will only detract from your message. When you deliver powerful content, your brand speaks for itself.
And when it comes to sharing the video, understand that most of your inner-circle friends are going “like” it on Facebook and share it on Twitter because they support you, not because it’s a good video. But when their friends share your video and so on because the content is fresh, relevant and it moves them … well, you’re on your way to the next viral video.
