How to Grow Your Video Fan Base

How to Grow Your Video Fan Base
You’ve done your homework, worked hard and produced some great corporate videos. But how do you grow a base of loyal fans who look forward to watching your next video?
Steve Garfield, considered by many in the industry as “the Paul Revere of video blogging,” shared some of his recommendations in a recently published OnlineVideo.net article. Here are some of the simple, yet often overlooked, tips:
Be consistent – If you publish videos on a regular basis, your audience will begin to expect your next video … and look forward to it.
Increase your reach – Publish your videos in multiple locations—even in the small outlets—and make them easy to share.
Keep it real – When your talent is not genuinely passionate about the message, it’s obvious, and you lose your viewer’s trust. Garfield suggests, “give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to work with you or your company.”
Connect with your viewers – Don’t just speak to your audience; have a dialogue. Encourage feedback, listen and then respond. Building relationships fosters loyal fans who will keep coming back for more.
